Solomon, Saltsman & Jamieson (SSJLaw) settled personal injury cases in 2018 in excess of $13,000,000. In continuing to litigate catastrophic injury cases, SSJLaw successfully concluded cases which included a motorcycle accident death, a pedestrian versus car injury, and a shooting that left our client severely and permanently injured, as well as other many significant and life changing matters.

SSJLaw also successfully completed a protracted negotiation for a new Compact between the State of California and our client. This valuable Compact allows the Tribe to continue operation of a large-scale casino providing lucrative gaming in and for the people of the state of California.

Along with complex negotiations and the personal injury cases that SSJLaw continues to pursue on behalf of both injured plaintiffs and maligned defendants, SSJLaw remains a leader in business litigation matters, Land Use and Zoning, ABC related and other regulatory administrative matters, regulatory and litigation services for gaming, casino and cannabis clients. We match the interesting and innovative matters of our clients with our own innovative and meticulous representation.

Towards that end, several of SSJLaw’s partners were honored with the distinction of being named 2019 Super Lawyers by their peers. Stephen Warren Solomon was named Super Lawyer in the area of Gaming Law, Ralph B. Saltsman was named Super Lawyer for Administrative Law, and Stephen Allen Jamieson was named Super Lawyer in Land Use and Zoning. Each of them have been honored with this distinction for 15 years in a row.

SSJLaw was also the recipient of additional awards honoring them by their clients and the numerous associations to which they belong.  Bruce Evans, Partner, Solomon, Saltsman & Jamieson received the Supplier Recognition Award, Extraordinary Business Partners Award, 2018 by Andeavor, for his continued work with Andeavor bringing success to many of Andeavor’s projects since 2014.  Stephen Allen Jamieson, partner, Solomon, Saltsman & Jamieson was named Most Valuable Associate Member Award, 2018 by the National Association of Licensing and Compliance Professionals (NALCP) in Nashville, Tennessee. The award recognized and honored Mr. Jamieson’s ongoing commitment to service client’s liquor licensing and compliance needs. Mr. Jamieson also presented at the West Coast Franchise Owners Association (WCFOA), and the National Conference of State Liquor Administrators (NCSLA).

SSJLaw thanks it’s partners and associate attorneys, as well as its support staff, for their dedication and collaboration in this past year’s successes. It is both an honor and privilege to represent each of the varied and interesting clients of SSJLaw, and we thank each of them for their trust and confidence. Kudos to a year well-concluded and onward to the great work we will do together in 2019.
