ABC Launches New Online Licensing Services Portal for Over 90,000 California Businesses
ABC licensees can now pay Annual Renewal Fees online
Sacramento – The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) has launched a Licensing Services Portal to provide online services for over 90,000 licensees.
“The new portal offers an easier and more efficient way for licensees to renew their licenses by paying annual fees online,” said ABC Director Eric Hirata. “The online system is part of ABC’s overall plan to modernize and provide faster service through the use of technology.”
This initial release is available now to all ABC licensees with active licenses being paid timely, and in their respective renewal phase. Other online licensing services will be built and released into the Licensing Services Portal as they are completed, including future capabilities to apply for a new permanent license and daily licenses.
Licensees can pay their renewal fees online with a credit card or eCheck. The payment process is easy to use and shouldn’t take more than a few minutes. If a license is due for renewal, licensees can enter their license number to see the amount due. They will be given an option to pay and then asked to choose their payment method. Once the fees are paid licensees will receive a receipt via e-mail.
Prior to making a renewal payment, licensees are encouraged to check if they are eligible for a waiver of their renewal fees by reviewing the COVID-19 Renewal Fee Waiver guidelines and utilizing the online verify eligibility tool.
